Oban is one of the most picturesque places in Scotland and a must visit for any tourist visit to Scotland. The town is home to only 12,000 people though those numbers expand significantly in the height of the summer tourist season.

The town name means "little bay" reflecting the fact that it is a sheltered harbour from where most ferries depart to the Western Scottish Isles of Mull, Iona, Kerrera, Tiree, Lismore and other islands of the Inner Hebrides group.

As one of Scotland's most popular tourist attractions, Oban has many fine Bed and Breakfasts to choose from. There are no large hotel groups here, or anywhere nearby, which is a good thing because the B&B's are high quality, comfortable and come with the sort of Scottish hospitality that you would expect.

We feature a selection of the best bed and breakfast accommodation options we could find in the town of Oban or the wider parish of Argyll & Bute.
