Oban is a popular destination. Often called the Gateway to the Isles, it’s a major layover point for those wanting to explore the Hebrides. Three rooms are offered at Inverasdale, a single, a twin and a double. All have been individually designed, and are furnished to be comfortable and luxurious conveying a sense of bright contemporary coastal living. The single room has a private bathroom, while both the twin and double rooms have en-suite facilities, each with a shower, although the twin room’s shower is over the bath. Complimentary toiletries are supplied.
For the pleasure and convenience of guests, all rooms have a flat-screen TV with DVD player, Wi-Fi access, radio alarm clock, hairdryer and hospitality tray stocked with plenty of goodies.
Taking its cue from Oban’s many fine restaurants, Inverasdale B&B has gone to considerable lengths to offer a varied and tempting breakfast menu. Breakfast is served in the bright, welcoming contemporary dining room. Start your day with a cereal or perhaps proper Scot’s porridge with honey and cream. You may want to start with grapefruit segments or fresh fruit with yoghurt, especially if you’re planning on having the full Scottish breakfast as a main.
The full breakfast has everything from sausage and bacon to black pudding and a potato scone. Opt for lighter main of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, or poached eggs on black pudding. For a decadent start to the day, why not have the American-style pancakes with chocolate sauce, banana, cream and syrup. Fresh coffee and tea, including Earl Grey, are also offered.
